Preschool/Nursery North Side Assembly of God provides a staffed preschool area during Sunday morning services. This area is secured behind locking glass doors that allow parents to see the children’s area but prevents unauthorized access to the children. There are also designated nursery areas for parents to care for infants as well as a dedicated nursing room for mothers who need privacy. Childcare is also available on Sunday nights during our evening service.
Sunday School 9:30-10:20 am Sunday school classes are available in our preschool area. These classes are divided by age range from preschool to 6th grade. A simple breakfast is provided for kids who arrive early for Sunday school.
Sunday Morning Kid’s Church 10:30 am (5-12 years old)
North Side Assembly strives to provide a safe and fun environment for children to learn about God and develop a genuine relationship with Christ. All of our workers must pass a background check before assisting in the children’s department. Carroll and Trish Simmons have served as North Side Assembly of God’s children’s pastors since 2003. Our Sunday morning Kid’s church service begins with the children sharing in the adult worship service. After participating in the praise and worship and prayer time the children are dismissed to their own area for the remainder of the service. The kid’s service consist of Bible stories, puppets, games, character skits and a variety of other age appropriate activities. We utilize a whole Bible approach to teaching the children. We systematically work through each book of the Bible teaching the stories as well as the concepts, values and doctrines to help disciple our children. We also present missions stories and provide opportunities for the kids to support BGMC (Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge). http://bgmc.ag.org/
Wednesday Night: Royal Rangers/Mpact Girls Ministries 7:00pm – 8:00pm North Side Assembly uses the Royal Rangers and Mpact ministries to further nurture and disciple our children. These clubs run from age 3 to 6th Grade. These ministries provide small group discipleship as well as lots of fun and opportunity for achievement. Our boys attend Royal Rangers in their own house located on the church property. We have Ranger Kids and Discovery Rangers groups in the Ranger house. The Mpact girl’s ministries include Sunbeams, Rainbows, Daisies, Prims & Stars groups. They hold their club meetings in the church basement. These events have included movie nights, zoo trips, game nights, fall festivals and other similar activities. We believe it is important to build strong relationships within the church including the kids. These activities provide opportunities for the kids to build friendships with other kids and with adults within the church.
